Succession
Planning
Engaged committed leaders, particularly at the CEO and
senior management team levels are critical to the continued
success of Healthcare organizations. Retirement and resignation
are part of reality for most healthcare organizations.
While some turnover can be anticipated and planned for,
it often is not the case. A smooth change in leadership
is highly dependent on the existence of a formal and structured
succession plan. Such plans should be in place as part
of the Board of Directors responsibility for ensuring organizational
continuity. MEDI Coaches collaborate with Executives who
have been identified as potential candidates to fill a
more responsible position should it become vacant so their
transition into that role will be smooth and flawless.
Through the MEDI Coaching process, specific developmental
areas are developed and rigorously worked on to assist
the potential successor to a position to be prepared in
every way to provide dynamic and effective leadership.
